I believe

I am not an atheist or agnostic (I do hate labels) even though I do not believe in a god, as I do believe in something.

I am not a humanist as it is not humans I believe in.

I believe in love being one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

I see animals (inc humans) as being strong and good with just a few bad eggs thrown in. I cannot believe in anything that separates the furry, reptilian, or feathery from the naked in the intellect stakes.

I believe in natures strength and tree wisdom.  I believe in walking plants and swollen skies.

I believe everything alive has a reason for that life and it is no-ones right to remove that life from the world.  I think our energy lingers on and our deeds mean more than we think when we do them.

I believe in the butterfly wings.

Do you agree or am I alone?

  1. I do believe in God, a God of all things. But I can easily say, you are not alone.

I believe in many of the same things as you. =)

Love is the most powerful force in the universe.

  2. Ah, this adds a little plus in my dream interpretation column for your dream. I didn't see what you wrote here about feeling alone until after I sent the reply to your Anyone Into Dreams thread. (Feeling abandoned). Parageraph 5, 6 & 7 are blocked from my view here on the right side. Don't know if it's Vista needing an IE update or what. I may have to switch over to Mozilla if this keeps up.

I'm inviting people to send me their dreams and I'll write a free interpretation. Go to my Art by Joyce Jackson page and my personal page if interested. No charge.

I believe in love as you do. I believe there is a God. But that many times, our interpretation of what God is can be way off the mark. So I call it "God" just to assign it a name. It's not necessary for any of my friends to share my beliefs. I will still see them as my friends whether or not they believe as I do and whether or not they call me friend.

I've learned enough about formlessness that I can almost perceive something akin to it, and that what it is is beyond our wildest imagination of how wonderful it can be. It is a perception the closest to accurate of what we really are.

I was once told by an amazing woman, "We are all one". It set me on my path to find out just what this means. Since meeting her, I've found this and see it as also very relevant. Don't know who is the source… "The first lesson of power is that we are all alone. The last lesson of power is that we are all One."

  3. Finding this post at an interesting time, 3 yrs later. No…you are not alone. I pretty much agree with the above posters. Spiritual yes, energy yes. I do think there is a Universal….”something”? I do believe in the power of prayer but because it’s sending out lots of positive energy thoughts into to universe. I don’t know that it’s important to know who or what may be listening! I will stray and add that I believe in reincarnation and second or third chances or whatever is needed until a lesson is learned…and that Karma is for real ;o) So, I try to be reasonably good!
