As an artist, facing a blank canvas can be both thrilling and intimidating. It’s a space brimming with possibilities, yet choosing what to paint can feel daunting. My mind becomes a kaleidoscope of ideas, each clamouring for attention, each eager to take shape.

Standing there, I let my imagination roam freely – images, themes, emotions swirling around, all waiting to come alive in colour and brushstrokes. I try to set aside any hesitation and allow my thoughts to wander, exploring uncharted creative landscapes.

Indecision? It’s not a roadblock; it’s a part of the magic. Every flicker of doubt is just an invitation to try something new. Letting myself embrace that indecision reminds me that my artistic soul is seeking a way to translate vision onto canvas.

Each time I change my mind, I’m stepping into a new perspective. I might start with a peaceful landscape, then feel drawn to an energetic city scene, only to end up captivated by an abstract composition. This ebb and flow is a reminder that I’m growing, pushing the boundaries of my creativity.

Sure, the constant flux can be a bit unsettling. But I remind myself that change is part of the journey, often leading to true breakthroughs. Embracing that change has led me to discover new facets of myself and my art.

And as I reconsider for the hundredth time, I remember: it’s not just about the end result – it’s about trusting my instincts and enjoying the journey.

In art, there are no rules or limits. The blank canvas is my playground, a place where I can freely express myself, even if letting go sometimes feels challenging. Changing my mind a hundred times isn’t a sign of indecisiveness; it’s an ode to the creative spirit. With each brushstroke, I’m painting the world as I see it, feel it, and dream it – one idea at a time.

For Robin – Blood Donor

Beneath the sky, I park and wait, A quiet vigil, a twist of fate. He walks inside, his heart so bold, To give his blood, his story told. And here I sit, with guilt’s soft sigh, For once I tried, and once did try. But body weak and rules so […]

The Palette of Joy

Life is a canvas, vast and free, Painted in hues of serenity. Brushstrokes bold, yet soft with grace, A masterpiece time cannot erase. Art is the language of our soul, Binding hearts to make us whole. In every colour, light does gleam, A living tribute to every dream. Happiness blooms […]

By The Sea

As a child by the sea, I lived a game, In winters wild, where the waves would claim The promenade, with a roaring might, Chasing the shops in the fading light. I’d dare the fence, the wave’s retreat, A fleeting race on unsteady feet. Most times I’d win, but once […]
